Cholla Fire originally started an experiment to utilize local cactus skeletons. From small sticks to full cacti, each piece is collected before nature can break it down further. An underutilized wood can now be brought back to life revealing its inner uniqueness.
After cleaning and prepping the Cholla, it is then filled with resin. The pouring process can't escape the influence of nature, as the internal wood structure creates gorgeous flowing colors that are unique to each piece. It is impossible create two pours the same, and we never know what to expect.
While striving to pour larger Cholla, I often have cut-off sections or smaller sticks. Each of these sections is crafted into one-of-a-kind jewelry, cutlery, or other home decor. We would love to hear what you want created!
